This was a project I had intended to start a WHILE ago, but never really got beyond cleaning the press. Figured I’d post some pics of it after a good scrub. Having a hard time locating the parts I need. Probably need to enlist some help from Briar Press.
Missing parts include:
i’m in cleveland visiting my grandparents and will be bringing back a Craftsmen Imperial 5×8 press that’s been hiding out under their house for the last 20-30 years. it is mostly in good working order, but needs a good cleaning. it’s missing the chase and rollers and all of the other various parts required to actually print anything (furniture, type, etc)
it will no doubt be a fun project, however i have a lot to research and learn since i have very little experience with presses, at least of this type.
